Today’s fast-moving world is creating increasingly complex and unexpected challenges for families. Things are changing so fast that having a ‘rulebook’ doesn’t make sense. In order to be able to be responsive to the problems we don’t even know are coming yet, we have to look beyond ‘rules’ and consider values as a more effective guiding tool.
Dr. Roberts created the 7-Point Parental Compass to create a practical “navigational” tool to help raise resilient children who can be strong in the face of adversity to come.
The Parental Compass has two key goals:
- Strengthen the parent-child bond
- Become a more effective problem-solver
These goals combine to create the recipe for resilience - the ability to ‘bounce back’ or recover from difficult situations. The elements of the compass are based on Dr. Roberts' clinical experience and the latest research. This course will show you how the compass works, giving you some practical wisdom to increase the odds of having positive outcome for your family.
